We are currently sponsoring the university education of eight youngsters from families living under marginal economic conditions from the settlement of Mineros San Juan Ushpa-Ushpa near Cochabamba. Subjects currently being studied are: Nutrition, Dentistry, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Customs Administration, Car Mechanics, Finance, and Medicine. We were previously also able to provide the money which allowed the local health care centre to remain open and expand. We were also able to finance the construction of one school building and the completion of another.

We have sponsored the higher education of a number of young adults from these homes. Three have qualified as teachers, another with a medical degree and others with nursing, medical technician and public accountant qualifications respectively. We previously helped with the expenses of two boys in the final year of the school, which is adjacent to the San Ignacio Home. We are currently funding the further education of three of the boys from the school who are studying Accounting, Physiotherapy and Graphic Design respectively.
