
Ushpa Ushpa
We are currently sponsoring the university education of eleven youngsters from families living under marginal economic conditions from the settlement of Mineros San Juan Ushpa-Ushpa near Cochabamba. Subjects currently being studied are: Nutrition, Dentistry, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Customs Administration, Business Studies, Car Mechanics, Finance, Engineering and Medicine. We were previously also able to provide the money which allowed the local health care centre to remain open and expand. We were also able to finance the construction of one school building and the completion of another. In 2025 we paid for new toilets in a school in Sacabamba, through our contacts at Ushpa Ushpa.

San Ignacio / Rosa de Anze Home
We have sponsored the higher education of a number of young adults from these homes. Three have qualified as teachers, another with a medical degree and others with nursing, medical technician and public accountant qualifications respectively. We previously helped with the expenses of two boys in the final year of the school, which is adjacent to the San Ignacio Home. We are currently funding the further education of three of the young men who went to the school and one lady from the Rosa de Anze, who is studying law as a mature student, The young men studying Accounting, Physiotherapy and Graphic Design respectively.

Tres Soles and other
We sponsored the education of a girl who attended the Tres Soles home. She received a Business Administration degree and is now working in that area.

ANET (Amigos de los Niños Excepcionales Tarija)
ANET was set up to help disadvantaged children with disabilities. Emilie’s Charities is sponsoring the education of eight young adults. Subjects in which sponsored students have graduated include: Law, Languages, Music Teaching, Business Administration, Architecture, Nursery Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Casa de la Alegria Home
We previously sponsored the further education of one of the girls from the home who received a degree in languages. A second girl who previously completed a Social Studies course completed a Masters in Education in 2022
