Emilie’s Trousers Ride 2026

The annual Emilie’s Trousers ride took place on January 26th. Because of road closures due to flooding and water mains repairs on key roads, an alternative route was taken this year involving circuits around several villages to the southeast of Winchester. The distance cycled was equivalent to that of the route normally taken for the ride from Shawford to Oxford, that is to say 64 miles. The average speed was the same as usual (that’s 9.3mph, not 93mph!)
